As a major link with hotels in the Montreal area, we come across many job openings for a variety of positions in the hotel industry. Our idea is to get potential employees listing here and we'll be notifying the hotels we work with to take a look at all available candidates when openings come up. Nothing to be lost, only gained. Good Luck!

Should everyone post their CV here?

Posting your CV here is completely up to you, it is a public forum. I would leave your contact info and what your focus is. Keep looking back because we will post employers requests in the coming months.

"... Hello, room service? Send up a larger room"
Amand's got the right idea to come looking for work now, I've got friends working as scabs at all the fanciest hotels, they're hoping the strike will go on longer.

Make sure you have permission to work in Canada first. If not, you may find yourself working under the table for cash and following that route does have a downside. Should you be on an exchange program and not working for financial compensation, than it could serve a great base for experience.

There are a lot of hotels that offer part time or occasional work. Occasional positions are perfect for students since you only work about once a week, and hotel wages are pretty good.

I'm also finding a job related to hotels

In some places, hotels offer a room to live to their employees. Is it often the case in Montreal?

Not in all hotels, but I did see it at one hotel on Decarie. I think it was called Ruby Foos Hotel

I am interesting in having an employment in Montreal Hotel industry.
I have experience working as a tour guide for groups from Japan, worked as an interpreter for commercial, trades and business organizations. Speak Japanese, English, Portuguese, French, and communicable Spanish.
As being a Japanese, I know very well when we talk about services.
I would like to use my talent and knowledge to reach and serve for people who come to visit Montreal.
I would be most grateful if you could give some leads and your advise. Thank you.
